Abstract

This paper examines the concept of political struggle as a fundamental characteristic of any society with organized political power. The author, Mohamed Ghomari, defines political struggle as confrontation between opposing forces over the control of power and the modification of social relations, particularly the command-obedience dynamic. The paper identifies two dominant forms of political struggle: class struggle, drawing on Marx and Engels' assertion that all history is the history of class conflict, and struggle between individuals or groups vying for power or its preservation. The analysis explores whether such struggle manifests as latent or open conflict, potentially ending in class victory or mutual destruction.
