Basamat
Founded in 1988, the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences of Ben M’sik has, from its earliest days, pursued—alongside its pedagogical mission—the ambition of forging a distinctive identity, thanks to the diversity of its faculty’s specializations and their active presence on the scientific and cultural scenes. Thus, in 1988, the vision of creating a journal took shape with the publication of the first issue of Basamat.
In a world marked by rapid intellectual and cultural transformations, the journal Basamat positions itself as a scholarly platform dedicated to rigorous research in the fields of the humanities and social sciences. It seeks to anchor knowledge and encourage dialogue among researchers beyond borders. Since its inception, its primary objective has been to offer a space for high-quality intellectual production, combining authenticity and innovation, with a particular focus on issues related to identity and civilization.
