Abstract
This article provides preliminary observations on Morocco's position toward international legal instruments for the protection of the environment, excluding the marine environment. It examines the relevance of international conventions and legal mechanisms for national environmental policy and considers how Morocco engages with emerging norms of environmental protection. The article highlights the legal and institutional challenges involved in translating international commitments into domestic environmental action.
