Abstract

This article analyzes the supervisory (control) functions of the land registrar (conservateur) in Morocco and their contribution to the protection of real property rights. It reviews the registrar’s duties to verify formal and substantive legality, ensure the completeness of supporting documents, and prevent fraud or conflicting entries, especially in the context of the 14-07 reforms. The study also addresses the boundaries of this oversight, the relationship with judicial control, and the operational challenges that affect the effectiveness of the land registration system.
