Abstract
This article presents integration as an essential condition of development. It discusses the idea of cohesion within an economic and social system, examining how the relationships among sectors, regions, and social groups affect the capacity of a national economy to develop. The analysis stresses that development cannot be reduced to isolated growth indicators, but must be understood through the coherence of economic structures, the reduction of disparities, and the strengthening of interdependence within the whole system.
