Abstract
This report presents a graduate thesis by El Hiba El Mahjoub on United Nations efforts to define aggression. It reviews the definition adopted by the General Assembly in 1974 and analyzes the legal and political controversies surrounding it, including the positions of Western and Eastern blocs and developing countries on the problem of aggression in international law.
