Abstract
This article presents an early stage of university research on small and medium-sized enterprises in Morocco. It describes a research program carried out within graduate studies in economics, focusing on the owner-manager, the economic role of SMEs, and the specific characteristics of small and medium firms. The contribution also reports on seminar work conducted by students and outlines the theoretical and empirical questions raised by SME research in the Moroccan context.
