Abstract
The Spanish writer, journalist, and traveler Cristina Morató is the first and foremost to take an interest in researching, collecting, and documenting women’s travels around the world. She has published five books in this context, all dealing with the adventures of female travelers, most of whom have been forgotten by history despite their exceptional achievements and their contribution to paving the way for a group of male travelers whose names have been written in gold. Cristina Morató insisted on giving back to all these female travelers the recognition and honor they deserve by researching and digging into the details of their travel memoirs. The book «Audacious and Adventurous Travelers «is one of the most interesting publications by Morató on female travel. In it, she explores the journeys of female travelers of various nationalities, starting with the patron saint of travel, Madame Egeria, in the 4th century AD, who engraved her name in stone, up to Valentina Tereshkova, who raised her star to the moon.
