Abstract

In this article, we do not claim to be inventing the subject matter of Fernando Pessoa’s heteronyms, but rather we authentically collect a collection of information and ideas by feminist critics at various times. Given the huge bibliography accumulated about Pessoa and his creative work, this contribution will necessarily be very reductive. Therefore, our aim is to present a comprehensive and authentic view of such a topic. We will allow ourselves to wonder about Pessoa’s personality, his multiple masks and psychological and philosophical issues he raises, such as the self, the other, consciousness and isolation. His writings present accurate analysis of man’s tragedies and calamities in the twentieth century. They also highlight the possibility of coexistence between various infinities, where the only logic transcends and leads to major contradictions. Accordingly, this article will highlight aspects of Pessoa's work, which scholars and critics have not sufficiently investigated up till now.
