Abstract

The aim is to explore a variant of travel theory which, in this case, would be the the journey of return or the return to the beloved country. Even if it is a physical journey, this article tries to investigate and prove that the return journey, especially the one made for the first time after a long absence, is also a sentimental and emotional journey. This article analyses both the author’s own work anda series of books written by other authorswho have experienced the same situation and reflected on those situations in novels and stories. Since the author of the article and the writers mentioned are related to Morocco, we also analyze how this same journey has been reflected in the work of some Moroccan authors, so that the sentimental and emotional journey to Morocco awaited the travelers. These works can be compared from their different points of view, as if we were examining a kaleidoscopic plethora of feelings that this caused in each of them according to their origins, personal relationships or circumstances that caused the subsequent departure and return.
