Some morphosyntactic properties of the verb in riffians proverbs
Abstract
In this paper, we study some morphological and syntactic properties of the verb in the simple proverbial sentence. We propose to study the mode and aspect of these verbal forms attested in the Riffian proverbs gathered in this class, among others. We will try to show that if proverbs are distinguished from free sentences, it is because they exploit the possibilities offered by language in a rather particular way.
