Abstract

In Morocco, the word « hchouma » which summarizes the stifling mechanisms of a misogynist society explains, in part, the great delay that the writers made before speaking and appropriating the theme of the woman who has remained a long time « Grabbed » by the novelists-men. In the name of the marginalized, submissive and servile woman, the feminine novel often becomes feminist to question the traditions, the conveniences and the customs which make the misery of the woman in « the land of Islam ».
