Abstract
The article investigates how lexical meaning contributes to the formation of conceptual representations. It argues that lexical items encode structured semantic information that interacts with context, inference, and encyclopedic knowledge. By focusing on mechanisms of lexical interpretation, the study highlights the role of semantic features and contextual activation in building coherent mental models and supporting categorization.
