Abstract
From a Freudian standpoint, this article reflects on interpretation as a core operation of psychoanalytic practice. It argues that Freud’s introduction of the unconscious disrupts simplified views of meaning, positioning interpretation as both theoretical foundation and clinical tool realized through analytic listening and speech.
